The SM10 smart interface module is a simple device; home automation at its most imaginative with as many uses as there are scenarios in your household.
Here’s some of the things that the Smart Interface Module can do: - Alert you that there’s someone at the door if you’re in the middle of something noisy, such as playing computer games, using power tools or vacuuming.
- Turn on lights and audio systems when you enter a door.
- Let you know when an outside light or garage door is activated.
- Flash additional lights when your alarm system is activated.
The Smart Interface Module sends an X10 signal to receiver devices when a contact closure is made or a low voltage is applied to its terminals. Then, depending on how it has been programmed, it triggers an All Lights On signal, a flashing All Lights On/All Off signal, or an On/Off signal only to a particular device. Also known as HA118.
