The SAIX is both an A-10 Receiver relay switch and a signal Transmitter, which can be mounted behind light switches (momentary or continuous), or fitted behind power points. By fitting a SAIX module behind a switch, lights and devices can then be operated via Transmitters and Interfaces.
Characteristics
- 240V, 10A, suitable for resistive,inductive and capacitive loads
- Can control up to 2 consecutive addresses
- Can be included in group commands
- Automatic status response is possible
- The status is retained after a blackout (if required)
- Can be used to automate power points
Operation
The wires of the SAIX module are connected to either a continuous or momentary switch, making it possible to operate the load both via the automation system and manually. The SAIX as a Receiver has one relay, thus provides the ability to control one load. However, two switches can be wired into the SAIX, therefore as a Transmitter the first switch will transmit an X-10 signal as well as control the built in relay. When the second switch is operated, the SAIX will send out an X-10 signal which can be used to control another Receiver module elsewhere in the installation, or for triggering a scenario (in conjunction with a suitable Programmable Interface). The SAIX can also be controlled by X-10 signals originating from other X-10/A-10 Transmitters, Interfaces and remote controls.
Notes
Active and neutral are required to be connected to the SAIX
3-Phase use
The SAIX10 transmits signals for use on one phase only. If you have three phase power, or more specifically have X-10/A-10 Interfaces/Transmitters on a different phase to the SAIX10, you will need the CR244 3-phase repeater for the signals to be received across phases.
Programming
Can be programmed by any X-10 compatible Transmitter or Interface
Can also be programmed by special W Home AT004 programmer/test Receiver
