When you select reverse gear the camera and monitor are activated and you get a clear view of the area behind your vehicle. The monitor is attached to a clever bracket that can be adjusted to mount on the windscreen, dashboard, or wherever else you find suitable. The IP67 rated camera is waterproof can be mounted behind the rear window or outside the vehicle as required.
